We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate travel nurse position in Stayton, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

About the Role

As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but do not need ICU-level care. You will utilize advanced medical equipment to monitor patients' cardiac and vital signs, detecting any changes that may require intervention. Additionally, you will administer complex medications and adjust or titrate IV lines as needed.

  • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective action when information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.

The successful candidate must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, which includes:

  • A base salary of $80,000 per year.
  • A signing bonus of $10,000.
  • A relocation stipend of $15,000.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
