Job Overview

Position: Security Operations Specialist

Location: Fairbanks, AK

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with all individuals within the monitored areas to provide assistance, resolve issues, deter unlawful behavior, take necessary actions, and foster positive community relations.
  • Conduct regular patrols around the designated facilities, reporting any suspicious activities, unusual observations, or safety issues. Ensure a minimum of eight internal and four external patrols at random intervals to maintain security effectiveness.
  • Possess proficiency in English to read and comprehend regulations, detailed instructions, and training materials, and effectively communicate with diverse individuals while managing conflicts in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in security roles, particularly with individuals who may be veterans or have cognitive, mental health, or substance abuse challenges.
  • Successfully completed all pre-employment evaluations, including drug screenings, security certifications, background checks, and reference verifications.
  • Exhibit the ability to de-escalate potentially tense situations without resorting to force, demonstrating problem-solving skills through informed decision-making and mediation.
  • Understand community policing principles and demonstrate the capability to collaborate and build effective relationships with law enforcement agencies and community members.
