Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity

This is a unique pediatric hospitalist position that combines community feel and size with robust pediatric resources and traditional university-based academic opportunities.

Our inpatient healthcare team is comprised of a pediatric nursing staff, centralized pediatric sedation, pediatric pharmacists, dedicated pediatric respiratory therapists, allied health specialists, social work, nutrition, and child life.

As a pediatric hospitalist, you will be the primary teaching faculty in inpatient and newborn pediatrics for our residents and medical students.

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in an academic setting and be proficient in clinical practice, with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and professionally within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care for hospitalized infants, children, and adolescents on our pediatric hospital floor, as well as inpatient newborn patients in both well newborn and level 2 nursery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care for hospitalized patients
  • Working in conjunction with pediatric subspecialists to provide effective and co-managed inpatient and inpatient newborn care
  • Participating in quality improvement and patient safety activities
  • Equitable participation in holiday, weekend, and call coverage
  • Maintaining board certification in pediatrics
