Position Overview
The Interventional Radiology Technologist in the CV Lab plays a crucial role in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures related to cardiac and peripheral vascular health.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and catheters are ready and sterile.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of x-ray images and related equipment throughout procedures.
- Attend to patient needs and provide support during cardiac lab procedures.
- Assist physicians by scrubbing and circulating during procedures, including maneuvering catheters as needed.
- Record and monitor hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data using specialized equipment.
- Participate in life-saving measures, including defibrillation and CPR, as required.
- Contribute to patient transport and ensure adequate stock in procedure rooms.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's Degree in Radiology or completion of a certification program in Radiography.
- Licensure: Current ARRT (R) certification and a valid Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Indiana.
