We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Midstate Radiology Associates. As a CT Technologist Trainee, you will be responsible for operating equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures on patients.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work under the supervision of experienced technologists and contribute to providing high-quality patient care. You will select correct exposure factors, algorithms, and scan fields to produce technically accurate cross-sectional images.

You will also participate in complex invasive CT exams by assisting radiologists in performing procedures using proper sterile technique. Additionally, you may start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject intravenous contrast according to established protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms, and scan fields.
  • Participate in complex invasive CT exams by assisting radiologists in performing procedures.
  • Start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject intravenous contrast as needed.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards by using shielding, correct exposure factors, and field sizes.
  • Keep the CT equipment in good working order by cleaning and disinfecting it after each use.
  • Demonstrate yearly competencies in conducting examinations and meeting patient needs.
  • Assess physician orders and patient requisitions for completeness.
  • Document patient and exam information, including computerized images.
  • Prepare examination for interpretation by radiologists.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an AMA-approved radiology program.
  • A valid CT radiographer license.
  • CPR certification (may be required).
  • Some knowledge of anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles applicable to radiological technology.
  • Patient care standards and requirements.
  • Quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Customer service principles and practices.
Benefits
