Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver Class B to join our team at Airport Drayage Company Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting palletized freight by operating a straight truck.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle before and after use.
  • Ensure correct loading of the vehicle by loading product or material.
  • Maintain safe vehicle operation and protect the load by complying with organizational policies and procedures, highway rules and regulations.
  • Utilize material handling equipment and packaging supplies as needed to protect cargo.
  • Maintain records by operating an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and Electronic DVIR, obtaining shipper and receiver authorizations, and managing related paperwork.
  • Support and contribute to the company's overall safety program.
  • Continually strive for self-improvement as a transportation professional.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing individual results as assigned and assisting other drivers load or unload, if waiting in the warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests and DOT physical.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Climb in and out of a vehicle and walk up and down stairs as required in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for multiple hours per day and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • General knowledge of Oregon/Washington cities.
  • Physical Ability to Utilize Hand-trucks and Pallet-jacks.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
