About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) to join our Float Pool team. As a PCNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering world-class healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), including vital signs, personal care, and activities of daily living.
  • Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Report any abnormal findings or changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the RN.
  • Participate in patient transfers and transport, as needed.
  • Perform point-of-care testing, dressing changes, and other tasks as assigned by the RN.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required within the new hire period.
  • Nursing students must have BLS certification prior to hire.
