Our Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist PRN will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate
  • Serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
  • Assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Our Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist PRN will possess the following:

  • Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association and others as required by individual department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program
  • One (1) year as an RN. A minimum of one year of Cath lab, critical care or related experience
