About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team as a Dishwasher/Prep Cook.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collect soiled dishes from dining areas and transport them to the kitchen.
• Ensure that soiled dishes are stacked properly for efficient washing.
• Mix liquid soap and immerse sponges accordingly.
• Clean dishes and flatware with water to remove dirt.
• Soap down dishes, rinse them properly, and place them on drying racks.
• Dry dishes thoroughly using a drying cloth.
• Load soap and water into dishwashers and operate them efficiently.
• Remove washed dishes from the dishwasher and arrange for drying if needed.
• Stack dishes properly in cupboards.
• Maintain kitchen work areas and receive kitchen supplies.
• Sweep the kitchen floor and take out the trash.
• Sanitize the kitchen floor.
• Perform regular maintenance on dishwashers and ovens.
• Mop stockrooms and report any hazardous situations to the management.
• Ensure proper stocking of dish-cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation duties when needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent critical thinking and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a hot environment and stand for 8-hour shifts.
• No experience required; we provide training.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Capacity to operate industrial machinery and lift up to 20 lbs.

Work Arrangements:

• Part-time position (29-32 hours per week).
• Weekends and holidays required.
• Day/Night Shifts.

Compensation:

$15.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
