Home Health Care Registered Nurse

As a Home Health Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in helping our seniors remain at home, living independently for as long as possible. This position requires a compassionate and skilled nurse who can provide various prescribed medical treatments and personal care services under the direction of a physician, while functioning within the appropriate scope of practice.
Responsibilities:
As a Home Health Care Registered Nurse, your primary responsibilities will include assessing, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, and documenting comprehensive in-home services for our seniors/clients. You will receive, process, and admit referrals for Home Health Care services as assigned, following a case load of patients and supervising the plan of care. You will also make evaluation home visits to identify needs and appropriateness for home health care, admit seniors/clients for services, and complete appropriate admission documentation according to agency policy and procedures and state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language, including medical terminology related to the job. You must also be able to read a map and/or utilize a GPS system and/or follow instructions in order to find senior/client home. Additionally, you must be able to drive a vehicle from place to place, gain access to each senior/client home, and safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment. You must also possess a valid Nebraska Driver's license and a good driving record, as well as auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. You must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements and have a RN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state. CPR is also required.

Work Environment:
As a Home Health Care Registered Nurse, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, visiting seniors/clients in Assisted Living Facilities (ALF) in the community and in senior/client homes. You may be assigned to drive out of service area to support other regions, seniors/clients. You will be required to drive to senior/client homes to provide care on a daily basis.
Physical Requirements:
You must be able to safely perform a one (1) assist transfer, have vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction), and be able to drive a vehicle from place to place, gain access to each senior/client home, and safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment.

You will be required to use standard and specialized equipment, including but not limited to gait belts, bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, commodes, shower chairs, blood pressure apparatus, thermometers, ambulation equipment, whirlpool, scales, oximeter, coagucheck meter, glucometer, infusion pump, Doppler, oxygen concentrator, mechanical lift devices, Clinitron bed, Aqua-K pad, braces, splints, side rails, humidifier, fan, telephone, cell phone, computer, electronic devices, fax machine, and photocopier.
