Realty Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Realty Specialist to join our team at the U.S. Department of the Interior. As a Realty Specialist, you will be responsible for completing lands/realty casework, making defensible recommendations on various lands/realty actions, and preparing environmental documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete lands/realty casework and make defensible recommendations on rights-of-ways, communication sites, land acquisitions, and disposals.
• Prepare environmental documents on all types and complexities of realty casework.
• Participate as an interdisciplinary team member in the preparation of other resource program activity plans.
• Interact with the public, State and county agencies, and others regarding realty matters on public lands.
• Provide expert advice and respond to inquiries regarding laws, regulations, and agency policies involving the lands and realty program.
• Prepare, collect, evaluate, and consolidate land use data.
• Prepare, monitor, and update planning documents.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to read and follow instructions.
