Practice Full Scope Family Medicine

Join the Community Health Center of Snohomish County as a Family Medicine Physician with OB experience. We are seeking a qualified physician to provide full scope Family Medicine, including prenatal, outpatient/inpatient obstetrics, and postnatal care.

This position offers a collaborative work environment with physicians having operative obstetric skills and managing a service with a collective volume averaging 30 deliveries per month. Our team includes Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric colleagues, other healthcare providers, and clinic support staff to provide primary care services to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical care to all age groups in accordance with the State of Washington Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice.
  • Provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services to CHC patients.
  • Provides low risk obstetric care, including prenatal care, routine deliveries, and post partum care.
  • Adheres to attendance standards in order to perform the job functions for daily operations and/or continuity of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Reads, speaks, understands and writes proficiently in English.
  • Works independently and is self-directed.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates multiple activities and tasks.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice (e.g., family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics).
  • DEA controlled substances registration.
  • Hospital privileges - must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers (ACLS) certification - must be obtained within 45 days of employment.
  • Successful completion of CHC's credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriate.
  • Physician license (MD/DO) with the State of Washington.
  • Board eligible/Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics. Board certification - must be obtained within one year from date of hire.
