Job Summary

The Medical Care Unit RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients in our Perinatal/OB-GYN unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patient needs and promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health literacy and self-management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Able to perform as Scrub and Surgical Assist in OB OR.
  • Level I and II fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
