Lead Advanced Practice Provider for Cardiothoracic Surgery

Are you an accomplished Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with a passion for cardiothoracic surgery? Sentara Medical Group is seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a Team Lead in our Harrisonburg, VA location, focusing on enhancing patient care and clinical excellence. Our environment fosters recognition, appreciation, and support, empowering our APPs to excel in their roles and positively impact patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a collaborative team comprising 3 MDs and 2 APPs.
- Assist in the operating room, conduct inpatient rounds, manage discharges, and perform consultations.
- Develop call schedules, orient new staff, and engage in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of patient and team outcomes.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Acute Care NP, FNP working in an inpatient environment, or PA certification.
- Experience in vein harvesting.
- Background in cardiothoracic surgery.
