Join Spirit Airlines as a Pilot Cadet

Spirit Airlines is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our Pilot Cadet program. As a Pilot Cadet, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Spirit Airlines Pilot Pathway program, which provides a direct pathway to the flight deck as a First Officer with Spirit Airlines.
  • Receive mentorship, guidance, and training opportunities from members of the Flight Operations team.
  • Be issued a full Spirit Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with early access to training materials to prepare for new hire training on the Airbus A320 series aircraft.
  • Have access to Foreflight & Jeppesen Pro subscriptions.
  • Attend a "Spirit Day" event at least once per year, where you will meet with Flight Operations leadership and have the opportunity to learn about new training opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 500 hours of total flight time.
  • Hold a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Hold a FCC Radio Telephone Operator Permit.
  • Have a valid passport with at least nine (9) months of validity that grants you the ability to travel in and out of the USA and all cities/countries served by Spirit Airlines.
  • Have the legal right to work in the United States.
University Requirements
  • Be a sophomore in an accredited aviation degree program.
  • Have a recommendation from partner school faculty or chief instructor.
  • Hold a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate or be able to obtain one prior to ATP/CTP and Jet Transition courses.
  • Hold a FCC Radio Telephone Operator Permit.
  • Have a valid passport with at least nine (9) months of validity that grants you the ability to travel in and out of the USA and all cities/countries served by Spirit Airlines.
  • Have the legal right to work in the United States.
