ED Registration Clerk

At Wooster Community Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ED Registration Clerk to join our team. As an ED Registration Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth registration process.

You will be responsible for greeting patients, verifying demographic information, and answering phone calls from various departments. Salary Information
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you may also be eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families in a friendly and courteous manner
- Verify patient demographic information accurately and efficiently
- Answer phone calls from various departments to complete customer check-in or admissions
- Assist team members with registration functions to support the team and customers
- Perform other duties as requested by Director or Managers of Patient Access

Requirements and Qualifications
- Computer and other applications, Meditech computer system, and/or registration experience
- Demonstrated effective oral communication skills, including good telephone and email etiquette
- Ability to work under high volume and stressful situations within the ER setting
- Must be organized and able to multitask
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; Medical Terminology or Medical Office related experience a plus
