Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with client leadership to design and enhance controls, leveraging knowledge of business processes and information technologies.
  • Create comprehensive internal control documentation, including narratives and process flows.
  • Engage with clients on strategic planning and business matters, identifying emerging risks and IT opportunities.
  • Oversee SOC attestation and third-party opinion services.
  • Support external financial statement and SOX compliance engagements, assisting teams in identifying control objectives and designing effective control procedures.
  • Evaluate IT security policies and controls across client technology infrastructures.
  • Document, assess, and test application controls, particularly automated controls within various ERP systems.
  • Identify and assess internal IT controls, developing remediation plans for any identified risks.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to client personnel.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and client sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years in business process controls, IT risk management, internal audit, or IT compliance.
  • Proven experience in leading engagements and managing project financials.
  • Experience in mentoring staff and managing team workloads.
  • Strong understanding of information technology controls, particularly in widely used financial applications.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIPP are preferred.
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly to various audiences.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
