Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with client leadership to design and enhance controls, leveraging knowledge of business processes and information technologies.
- Create comprehensive internal control documentation, including narratives and process flows.
- Engage with clients on strategic planning and business matters, identifying emerging risks and IT opportunities.
- Oversee SOC attestation and third-party opinion services.
- Support external financial statement and SOX compliance engagements, assisting teams in identifying control objectives and designing effective control procedures.
- Evaluate IT security policies and controls across client technology infrastructures.
- Document, assess, and test application controls, particularly automated controls within various ERP systems.
- Identify and assess internal IT controls, developing remediation plans for any identified risks.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to client personnel.
- Contribute to business development efforts and client sales opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years in business process controls, IT risk management, internal audit, or IT compliance.
- Proven experience in leading engagements and managing project financials.
- Experience in mentoring staff and managing team workloads.
- Strong understanding of information technology controls, particularly in widely used financial applications.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIPP are preferred.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly to various audiences.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
