Job Summary

Lehi City is seeking a skilled Water Systems Maintenance Specialist to perform a variety of duties related to the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of city culinary and pressurized irrigation water systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery to repair and maintain the water system.
  • Perform skilled duties related to water system maintenance, including construction, installation, and repair.
  • Previous experience with underground water systems, equipment placement, residential service locations, easements, and right-of-way specifications is preferred.
  • Must have a Utah CDL license or obtain it within 12 months.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Skilled in operating various types of tools and power equipment to perform essential functions.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisor, subordinates, and the public.
  • Will be required to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Position level depends on experience and State Water Distribution Certification.
  • Must obtain State Water Distribution Certification Grade 1 within 12 months.
  • Employee must reside within 30 minutes of City Limits (based on average Google Maps drive time) for on-call purposes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school.
  • Previous experience with water systems maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
