- Work at client sites, often at height or in cramped conditions, to complete tasks safely and effectively.
- Prepare cost estimates for plumbing services, taking into account materials and labor costs.
- Quickly diagnose and fix maintenance problems, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system performance.
- Test pipes for leaks and perform routine maintenance activities to guarantee the optimal functionality and performance of equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.
- Install hot and cold water, sanitation, and drainage systems, as well as central heating systems and domestic fuel-burning appliances.
- Design water and heating systems, taking into account client needs and building specifications.
- Cut and join pipes and fittings, ensuring a safe and secure connection.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Respond to emergency call-outs, such as floods or boiler breakdowns, to minimize disruption and ensure client satisfaction.
- Valid plumbing license and certification.
- Own transportation and a valid driver's license, with a willingness to travel to client sites.
- Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Good listening and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Good interpersonal skills and patience, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical dexterity and the ability to work at heights or in cramped conditions.
