Job Title: Travel Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Macomb, Illinois.

Job Description:

This is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, and a shift of days. The ideal candidate will have 6 months of experience and be certified as an Occupational Therapist (OT) with NBCOT-OTR National Certification and state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
  • Develop a treatment plan for patients, identifying specific goals and activities to help them work towards those goals.
  • Help patients with various disabilities perform different tasks.
  • Educate patients' families and employers on how to accommodate and care for them.
  • Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use it.
  • Assess and record patients' activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  • 6 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
