Pharmacist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, directly influencing patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify all medication orders to ensure appropriate drug selection, dosage, and administration route.
  • Monitor patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab results to prevent clinical conflicts.
  • Maintain inventory control and provide drug information to healthcare team members.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and students to ensure accuracy and safety in medication preparation.
  • Participate in discharge planning and support continuity of care for patients.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
  • Preferred: Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • License: Active PA Pharmacist License (RPH).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical environment.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
