Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Installation Specialist to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a Senior Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the efforts of technicians performing avionics installations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Direction: Provide work direction to technicians, ensuring completion of tasks within allotted time frames and coordinating with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft.
  2. Installation and Fabrication: Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
  3. Training and Development: Train other team members in associated work assignments, utilizing your expertise as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of employees and techniques.
  4. Problem-Solving and Repair: Assist Engineering in resolving problems and make repairs per engineering direction.
  5. Quality Control and Safety: Ensure that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications, and enforce the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  6. Quality Assurance: Check all work, including other team members, to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor.
  2. Shift Coordination: Coordinate shift changes in team leaders' absence.
  3. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as YIAW and Kaizen events.
  4. Team Support: Assist and fill in for team coordinator as required.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, and two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related work experience, or four (4) years experience in an avionics/electronic career field.
  2. Skills and Abilities: Possess a working knowledge of the Gulfstream Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent Process Specifications. Strong written and verbal skills required. Computer keyboard skills necessary. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
