Job Summary

The CT Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas following established practices and procedures.

  • Performs Computerized Tomography Scans following protocols outlined and provided by Radiologists.
  • Reviews physician orders and diagnoses prior to scanning, discussing with Radiologists as needed.
  • Reviews appropriate Lab values prior to administration of IV Contrast.
  • Utilizes iSTAT to obtain Lab results.
  • Uses power injector for contrast administration.
  • Performs Scanner Quality Control testing as needed.
  • Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
  • Assists physicians with invasive procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers.
  • Currently licensed through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in CT or must obtain advanced certification through ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
  • Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imaging.
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
