We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Information Services to join our team at Matheny Medical and Educational Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, with a proven track record of leading large-scale EMR implementations and digital transformation initiatives in complex healthcare environments. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Matheny's information systems, IT infrastructure, clinical systems, cybersecurity, data governance, and technology operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with Matheny's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of Matheny's information systems, IT infrastructure, clinical systems, cybersecurity, data governance, and technology operations.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of a new enterprise-wide Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Establish and chair a Technology Steering Committee to guide technology investments, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and manage annual and multi-year technology budgets.
- Lead the development and execution of a formal cybersecurity program aligned with HIPAA and NIST standards.
- Establish a data governance program to improve quality, accessibility, and utilization across the organization.
- Direct the modernization of Matheny's technology infrastructure, including cloud migration strategy, network upgrades, and end-user computing enhancements.
- Build and lead a high-performing IT organization.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years at a senior executive level in a healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale EMR implementations and digital transformation initiatives in complex healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems, cybersecurity best practices, data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
