Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic medical radiography within department and other areas.
  • Maintain patient records and files.
  • Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program involving the area of radiographs.
  • Pursue continuing education to stay current with changing technology.
  • Transfer patients to and from radiology.
  • Develop films and maintain equipment.
  • Rotate shifts as required and perform ancillary duties as requested.
  • Follow policies and procedures as set by CRH Administration.
Requirements
  • Current Wyoming Radiologic Technologist licensing and registration.
  • Current ARRT in Radiography.
  • Ability to work in at least one modality listed below.
Modalities
  • Nuclear: Responsible for record maintenance and NRC compliance, care of equipment, consulting with referring physicians, and performing venipuncture.
  • Mammography: Perform breast needle localization, specimen radiography, quality control, screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy.
  • Ultrasound: Perform all requested exams for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist, continue to seek a higher level of education with RDMS certification as a goal, and pursue continuing education to fulfill radiology and/or RDMS requirements.
  • MRI: Technically able to perform all requested procedures or to improvise with new studies, responsible for care of coils, paperwork, and policy preparation.
  • CT/Interventional: Responsible for care of equipment, record maintenance, assisting with invasive procedures, and consulting with referring physicians.
Secondary Functions

Attend department/organizational meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.
