Job SummaryThe Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and imaging modalities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic medical radiography within department and other areas.
- Maintain patient records and files.
- Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program involving the area of radiographs.
- Pursue continuing education to stay current with changing technology.
- Transfer patients to and from radiology.
- Develop films and maintain equipment.
- Rotate shifts as required and perform ancillary duties as requested.
- Follow policies and procedures as set by CRH Administration.
- Current Wyoming Radiologic Technologist licensing and registration.
- Current ARRT in Radiography.
- Ability to work in at least one modality listed below.
- Nuclear: Responsible for record maintenance and NRC compliance, care of equipment, consulting with referring physicians, and performing venipuncture.
- Mammography: Perform breast needle localization, specimen radiography, quality control, screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy.
- Ultrasound: Perform all requested exams for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist, continue to seek a higher level of education with RDMS certification as a goal, and pursue continuing education to fulfill radiology and/or RDMS requirements.
- MRI: Technically able to perform all requested procedures or to improvise with new studies, responsible for care of coils, paperwork, and policy preparation.
- CT/Interventional: Responsible for care of equipment, record maintenance, assisting with invasive procedures, and consulting with referring physicians.
Attend department/organizational meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.
