Position Summary:
The primary role of the Sales Associate is to enhance sales by delivering outstanding customer service, aligning with our goal of being the most helpful hardware store.

  • Prioritize customer needs above all else.
  • Stay informed about ongoing promotions and relay this information to customers.
  • Achieve daily operational objectives set by management.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of products and their applications.
  • Demonstrate effective merchandising skills.
  • Identify and report any merchandising, stock, pricing, or labeling issues to management.

Education and Training:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but we are willing to train enthusiastic high school students.

Experience:
Experience in building customer relationships is beneficial. While prior trade skills are advantageous, we are open to training candidates who embody our core values.

Skills and Knowledge:
Familiarity with retail computer systems is a plus. We seek a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet business needs.

Compensation: $17 to $18 per hour
