We are looking for a reliable Certified Mohs Surgery Technician to perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties to facilitate the efficient functioning of our medical practice. This position requires close collaboration with our healthcare professionals to assist in skin biopsy collection, maintain patient documentation, clarify medical procedures to patients, and support surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input patient visit details into our electronic medical record system (EMA).
- Revise patient medical histories, including current medications and allergies.
- Sanitize and prepare surgical/examination rooms prior to patient visits.
- Conduct follow-up calls with patients and arrange surgical appointments.
- Support physicians during skin biopsies and surgical interventions.
- Maintain knowledge of sterile procedures and manage an autoclave for instrument disinfection.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within dermatology.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
- Skilled in electronic medical record management, particularly EMA.
- Familiar with medical instruments and equipment.
- Capable of establishing rapport with patients and thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn and follow instructions.
