Job Summary

By Light Professional IT Services is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembly Lead to join our team. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of assembly technicians in the production of electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of assembly technicians in the production of electro-mechanical products.
  • Quality Control: Verify the conformance of products to documented procedures and ensure high-quality levels at various stages of production.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide written and verbal direction, read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, connector pin outs, solder and build various types of boards, wires and wire harnesses.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot electro and mechanical failure modes and work with internal customers and suppliers to identify root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train lower-level assembly technicians and foster a team approach and continuous improvement culture.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience as an Electro-Mechanical II and/or relevant experience and proven proficiency in electro-mechanical assembly/rework experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of a personal computer to navigate on-line documents, drawings, and instructions; ability to read and comprehend written work instructions which may be technical in nature; soldering experience using IPC J standard.
Working Conditions

The work environment is frequently performed in a climate-controlled environment and occasionally in a non-climate-controlled setting. The employee may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is considered low to moderate in the manufacturing area.
