Job Overview:

Pittsylvania County Schools is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with students of varying ages and abilities, providing support and guidance in communication development.

About the Role:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing and treating students with communication disorders, as well as collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, certification or licensure in the state of Virginia, and experience working with students of varying ages and abilities. A strong commitment to providing high-quality services and a passion for working with diverse populations are essential.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
