Responsibilities:
All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of acute RN experience at the time of application are required to participate in the RN Residency program.
Applications are accepted year-round for four main cohorts. Your cohort will depend on your start date, which is influenced by licensure, onboarding, unit availability, and personal preference.

Key Responsibilities:
Effectively perform as a Registered Nurse as defined in Iowa Nursing Regulations and Practice Act.
Deliver nursing care to patients and families while maintaining a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, the Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines, and in collaboration with other caregivers.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Newly licensed nurse within the last six months. Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. Completion of the residency program within the first 12 months of employment. Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work. Proficient in reading, writing, comprehending, and speaking fluent English.
