Mixologist

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Zuzu, a small, Spanish-inspired restaurant in downtown Napa. Our restaurant has been serving our community world-class wines, food, and hospitality for over 23 years. We have recently expanded our restaurant to include a full-service Bar focused on procuring an eclectic and rotating collection of Gins from around the world.

• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests.
• Participate in cocktail curation and research and development.
• Prepare ingredients for the bar before and after service shifts, as well as work prep shifts.
• Manage the dining experience for guests joining at the bar, taking orders, inquiring about dietary restrictions, explaining the menu and dining style in detail.
• Ring food and beverage orders into the POS system.
• Address questions about the food, beverage, and restaurant.
• Assist with wine service and corkage when appropriate.
• Initiate the maintenance and re-set of the bar, lounge tables, and service stations.

• Be comfortable interacting with guests and members of our community.
• Assert leadership pertaining to the management of guests and experiences.
• Have the ability to multi-task and function well under pressure.
• Demonstrate strong spirits, food, and beverage knowledge and an eagerness to continue to learn and understand our product.
• Be proficient in the use of POS systems and/or able to quickly learn and utilize these programs.
• Express an eagerness to continue learning and staying up-to-date with our industry.
• Possess a fluent understanding of the basic functions of a high-volume, upscale casual restaurant.
• Be a team-oriented individual, willing to contribute to the success of everyone within the organization.
