Outdoor Adventure Leader

REI Co-op is seeking a skilled and passionate Outdoor Adventure Leader to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor education program, you will lead and teach guests on single-day or overnight outdoor experiences, fostering a love of the outdoors and promoting environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging outdoor programs, incorporating cultural, historical, and natural knowledge to inspire and educate participants.
- Promote REI membership and share information about our products, services, and community programs.
- Prepare programs, including content development, equipment preparation, and logistics coordination.
- Transport participants and gear to and from activity locations and storage facilities.
- Provide first aid response and follow emergency procedures.
- Experience in guiding outdoor tours, outdoor education, or teaching in a group setting.
- Personal or professional experience in outdoor activities such as climbing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or outdoor skills.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving background and ability to obtain a medical examiner's certificate.
