Job Title: Hemodialysis Technician

Job Summary:

Fresenius Medical Care Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Hemodialysis Technician to join our team. As a Hemodialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient-specific education and training
  • Perform vascular access evaluation, cannulation, and administration of heparin as delegated
  • Initiate and monitor dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders
  • Document patient information and treatment data accurately and timely

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • At least two years of previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
  • Successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and CPR certification required

Working Conditions:

The Hemodialysis Technician will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, facility staff, and physicians. The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels.
