Transformative Cancer Research Opportunities

City of Hope is a leading cancer research and treatment center seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our multidisciplinary research team in the Department of Molecular Diagnostics and Experimental Therapeutics. Our team is dedicated to advancing our understanding of gastrointestinal cancers and developing innovative treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement novel liquid biopsy biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy response prediction.
  • Investigate the epigenetic basis of GI cancers, including aberrant DNA methylation, histone modifications, and non-coding RNAs.
  • Explore the genetics of early-onset and familial/hereditary colorectal cancers.
  • Study the tumor microenvironment, stem cells, immune regulation, and identify targeted therapies.
  • Investigate extracellular vesicles/exosomes in cancer pathogenesis and as disease biomarkers.

Qualifications:

  • Recent PhD graduate (within past 2 years) with a strong background and profound knowledge in the field of oncology, cancer biology, immunology, or immunotherapy.
  • Previous experience in working with human specimens and development of novel, innovative cancer biomarkers.
  • Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by high-impact peer-reviewed publications.
