The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist 3.
Our health system is expanding its state-of-the-art facility, enhancing our commitment to delivering exceptional medical services to the community.
This expansion will continue to provide world-class academic medicine, advanced technology, and innovative treatment options to our growing patient base.
UHealth will feature comprehensive services, including specialties such as oncology, ophthalmology, urology, cardiology, endocrinology, and more.
The new facility will be equipped with multiple operating rooms, procedure rooms, and exam rooms, along with essential ancillary services like imaging and laboratory support.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare the surgical environment, ensuring safety and compliance for patients and staff. Uphold a surgical conscience by adhering to aseptic techniques. Maintain an organized sterile field and accurately label medications and solutions during procedures. Manage the return of instruments for decontamination and ensure proper storage of unused supplies. Supervise the stocking of sterile rooms and prepare supplies for upcoming procedures. Uphold confidentiality regarding all medical, financial, and employee information. Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence through positive and professional interactions. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments while assisting with inventory management and supply ordering. Follow University and departmental policies and procedures to safeguard University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Certification and Licensing:
Certification in a relevant specialty or field
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

Capability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
