About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at Allied Public Risk. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production, underwriting, and profitability of our book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Lead Underwriter to develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed annual production and profitability targets.
  • Review assigned new business submissions to verify that the risk qualifies, that all required underwriting documentation has been obtained, and that appropriate pricing has been determined.
  • Analyze loss runs and calculate loss ratios to ensure accurate underwriting and quoting of new business and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure seamless execution of underwriting processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and practices, including risk assessment and management.
