We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Pilgrim's. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ammonia refrigeration system.
Key Responsibilities- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the system is operating within safe parameters.
- Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain system efficiency.
- Process Safety: Ensure compliance with plant Process Safety Management (PSM) program and Corporate Safety policies and procedures.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in refrigeration system maintenance and repair.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of refrigerant principles and concepts, computer software, and mechanical integrity inspections.
- Certifications and Licenses: RETA CARO Certification and ability to obtain necessary permits and certifications.
- Physical Demands: Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat.
- Environmental Factors: Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock and vibration, and noise levels that are usually very loud.
