Our team at Hartsfield Village is committed to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide (Certified) to join our team in this full-time/part-time position.

About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents by providing high-quality care and support. As a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA), you will be responsible for administering medications, documenting administration, and performing various treatments not requiring licensed nurse supervision. You will also be responsible for observing, recording, and reporting observations, monitoring medication effects, and taking vital signs prior to administration.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Document all medications administered after administration
  • Perform various treatments not requiring licensed nurse supervision, such as hot/cold applications and vital signs
  • Observe, record, and report observations, monitor medication effects, and take vital signs prior to administration
  • Communicate with residents and staff in an understandable, honest, and caring manner
Requirements
  • QMA Certificate in good standing on file with the Indiana State Department of Health
  • CNA Certification must be current and in good standing with the Indiana Nursing Assistant Registry
  • CPR Card required
  • Demonstrated compassion for Seniors and their families
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting preferred
  • Ability to administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures
