Laboratory Phlebotomist

The Clinical Laboratory Phlebotomist serves as the primary link between the laboratory and interacts with physicians, guests, family members, and other hospital staff to obtain or clarify lab information. This role is responsible for performing a variety of venipuncture techniques involved in the collection of blood specimens from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Responsibilities:
• Collect blood specimens from patients for laboratory procedures
• Interact with physicians, guests, family members, and other hospital staff to obtain or clarify lab information
• Perform venipuncture techniques in a safe and efficient manner
Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience as a phlebotomist, medical assistant, or phlebotomy certification preferred
• Ability to read and communicate effectively with basic computer knowledge required
Additional Information:
This is a PRN (as needed) position available at Dosher Memorial Hospital.
