About the Role

The Algiers Charter School Association is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. As a School Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with communication disorders and helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess students with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to address specific communication needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in group and individual settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student learning.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all job-related activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience as a speech therapist in a school setting preferred.
  • Certification as a Speech/Language Pathologist.
  • Licensed in Louisiana as a Speech/Language Pathologist by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
