The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina is a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering youth and promoting healthy lifestyles. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Counselor to join our team for the summer season.

We offer a competitive stipend of $425-475 per week, plus room and board, making this an attractive opportunity for individuals looking to make a difference in the lives of young people while developing valuable skills and experiences.

This is an exciting role that requires passion, enthusiasm, and a commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional supervision and mentorship to approximately 10-15 campers, aged [insert age range], while teaching and leading various activities such as ropes, target sports, aquatics, and more.

You will work collaboratively with co-counselors and activity specialists to ensure a fun and engaging experience for all campers. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Must be 18 years of age or older;
• Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA;
• Experience working with youth, preferably in a camping or outdoor education setting;
• First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard, or Ropes certification (or willingness to obtain);
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment;
