Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Sterile Processing Lead, this role is integral to the operational efficiency of the surgical services department at HexaQuEST Health, Inc.

The Surgical Instrument Technician is responsible for the meticulous reprocessing of reusable surgical instruments across the facility. This includes performing essential cleaning and sterilization tasks, as well as preparing instrument trays, sterile linens, and necessary supplies as instructed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Distributing reprocessed materials to various departments.
  • Assisting in the preparation and organization of case carts.
  • Supporting inventory management within the surgical unit.
  • Occasionally aiding in the transport of patients and equipment between departments.

Urgency Level: Standard
Work Schedule: Evening shifts on designated weekdays
Licensure Requirements: None required
Experience Requirement: Minimum of 3 years in a related field
Guaranteed Work Hours: 36 hours per week
