Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Carlisle Industrial Brake & Friction, Inc. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for general ledger accounting, including month-end closing, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and other miscellaneous reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accuracy of 3 ledgers (Division, HQ, Mauritius)
  • Prepare and enter journal entries during the month and month-end closing
  • Issuance and maintenance of all project code listings
  • Communicate with corporate to supply information, analysis, and reporting
  • Closing of General Ledgers at month-end
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations into Blackline
  • Maintain and update Blackline (as preparer and system administrator)
  • Prepare and analyze accruals (salary, bonus, legal, co-op, rebates, CAM, expat)
  • Modify data from corp. to allow uploading into QAD (payroll uploads)
  • Participate in implementation and testing of new systems as needed
  • Maintain prepaid expenses for all entities
  • Allocate all corporate charges to entities
  • Enter wire payments to suppliers and transfer funds for disbursements
  • Manage and allocate utility charges from 3rd party CASS
  • Manage record retention with Access
  • Correspond with international suppliers
  • Maintain cost center reports and voucher allocations in QAD
  • Assist various controllers as needed
  • Provide account codes for various documents
  • Review and explain variances on month-end reports
  • Support Annual Physical inventory
  • Miscellaneous AOP requirements
  • Misc. Ad-Hoc reporting
  • Participate in Financial and Other Audits
  • Back-up other finance areas as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in fixed assets and general accounting for manufacturing company.
  • Good personal computer skills including but not limited to QAD/MFG Pro, BNA Fixed Assets system, Hyperion (HFM), Excel, and Word
  • High level of integrity; and commitment to continuous improvement, Manufacturing, Accounts payable, and inter-company account reconciliation experience is a plus.
