Journeyman Truck Technician Job Description

Papé, a leading medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to join their team in SeaTac, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in our shop. As a Journeyman Truck Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely repairs, supporting our customers, and maximizing their uptime.

Responsibilities
  • Work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Perform repairs accurately and timely to support our customers and maximize their uptime.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Meet the requirements for a Class B CDL or obtain one.
  • Provide own tools.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Self-motivation and assertiveness.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
