We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Associate to join our team at Baton Rouge General. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, baths, offices, halls, and other areas according to established standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of areas and specific items to limit cross-infection.
• Clean assigned areas by washing walls, furniture, tile, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces with cleaning solutions.
• Remove trash and waste from assigned areas and refill all applicable dispensers following established departmental and infection control practices.
• Notify supervisor immediately of low supply levels and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain areas in safe condition.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Able to understand and carry out instructions.
• Able to identify and follow directions for chemicals used in performance of duties.
• Dependable and motivated to complete duties without constant supervision.

This is a medium work position that requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations and safety practices appropriate to the job position.
