Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Management Assistant Director to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for administering and directing programs to lead building maintenance, utilities, and equipment on our hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies, and procedures to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the quality and flow of work to ensure timely completion of tasks, including preventive and corrective maintenance, construction projects, financial management, and energy controls.
  • Prepare and handle departmental budgets and utilities energy savings programs to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
  • Lead and ensure regulatory compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, ADA, and other regulatory agencies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Provide guidance, training, and motivation to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Successfully build and maintain effective client relationships to drive business growth and development.
  • Monitor work performance and prepare and/or review performance evaluations for assigned personnel to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of management experience in a hospital setting, with a strong background in facilities management, operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • CHFM certification highly preferred, with a strong understanding of engineering, plant operations methods, techniques, maintenance, applicable codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed written and verbal instructions, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results and exceeding customer expectations.
