Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ED Tech to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As an ED Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observation and Communication
    • Observe and communicate patient needs to the nursing team in a timely and effective manner.
  • Patient Care
    • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection and documentation.
  • Decentralized Laboratory Testing
    • Collect and process laboratory specimens, following established policies and procedures.
  • Non-Therapeutic Functions
    • Perform non-therapeutic functions, such as vital sign collection and documentation, as assigned by the nursing team.
  • Accountability and Responsibility
    • Take ownership of daily tasks and responsibilities, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting and bending.
