About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Sherpa Design. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions to a variety of industries and products using CAD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and products using CAD software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements and company standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in CAD software and technologies
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in NX CAD including modeling, drafting, assembly, and analysis OR experience with SolidWorks CAD and a desire to learn NX CAD
  • Experience designing consumer electronic products, packaging electronics, opto-mechanical product design, precision mechanism design
  • Experience with machine design and robotic automation
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing methods including machined metals, casting, injection molding, and sheet metal
