Position Information

The Staffing Resource Specialist provides strategic direction and support for Patient Observation Services within the Staffing Resources department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing departmental needs and skill levels of each employee
  • Facilitating communication, collaboration, and teamwork within the department and with nursing units across the system
  • Coordinating daily operations, operational changes, and process improvements to align with departmental and hospital mission values and quality initiatives
  • Completing scheduling processes for both departments and ensuring accurate supplies are maintained in each area
  • Acting as a liaison between department staff and leadership teams

Experience Requirements

Three years of experience in a nursing-related area are required. A graduate degree in nursing or college courses in nursing with required licensure/certification are also necessary. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

A Registered Nurse license is required.

Work Schedule

The Staffing Resource Specialist works every Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and one 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift on weekdays, with varying days weekly. Weekend requirements include every weekend, and call requirements are as needed.
