About the Role

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Supply Chain Management Intern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the supply chain department in various project-based assignments and contributing to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on reverse logistics to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to improve quality and asset recovery yields.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to develop processes and recommend cost reduction procedures.
  • Understand the routing of inbound and outbound shipments, master data for inventory processes, and warehouse functions to facilitate solutions for reverse logistics implementation.
  • Work with current software tools like Oracle, RF Smart, and Excel for daily tasks assigned and research internal ticketing systems to manage return order statuses.
  • Participate in daily communications between stakeholders, coordinate with returns processors and key business owners to ensure quality product return procedures, and ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age by the start of the internship assignment and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 after each completed semester/term.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Junior and Senior candidates are on track to graduate with a bachelor's/master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Plan to pursue a career in supply chain or materials management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 25%.
